Wellington's Shop and Post Office was opened on 26th June 2010 following 9 months of hard work.

It is a community led venture, using grants made by the Parish Council and Rural Shops Imprivement scheme. The community group came together following the announcement of the former village shop closure and designed and built brand new premises. The Parish Council is the landlord of the new premises which also includes a Parish room for community use. The shop itself is managed by Marcus Williams, owner of the neighbouring award winning Canon Pyon Villagr Stores and Post Office, and Marcus employs local staff to do so.
