How it all began
The Slinfold Village Shop Association Ltd was set up in 2002 to purchase the freehold of the shop on behalf of the village and thereby ensure its continued existence. In early 2003 the shop was renovated and fitted out to a high standard. Around £120,000 was raised within the community and by obtaining various grants. Much of that money was given in the form of repayable loans.
