Ryburgh Village Shop
Ryburgh Community-Owned Rural Shop featured on BBC1’s the One Show for the launch of Village SOS
Ryburgh Village Shop in Norfolk, one of over 200 community-owned rural shops in the UK, was featured as a shining example of what rural communities can achieve together on the BBC1’s the One Show for the launch of Village SOS.
Ryburgh Village Shop opened on 2nd March 2009 after receiving support from the Plunkett Foundation. The new shop and Post Office is located in an old granary and stocks a wide range of produce from local free-range eggs to beer produced by local brewers from the malt from the maltings situated immediately next door to the shop. The shop supplies all your every-day needs and much more, including a good selection of Norfolk produce from locally milled flour to fruit juice from the Royal Fruit Farms at Sandringham. There is a full sub-post office service and an internet point within the café.
The shop and post office has full disabled access and ample free car parking.
Ryburgh Village Shop was created by the village, is owned by the village and is run by the village through a Community Interest Company, Ryburgh Community Enterprise CIC.
