Power to the people
The Shop in Iden is truly a village shop, because it is owned by the villagers!! It was threatened with closure, and conversion into a house, but the villagers clubbed together and bought the freehold. Today it is leased to Ian and Lucy Knox, originally from Springs in South Africa. They have been serving Iden for 11 years now.
