the Shop and post office were bought by the community when the owner could not sell it as a shop and reluctantly decided to change it to a house. The community raised over £25,000  and received £1 shares. The average contribution was around £100. Leader provided a grant of £20,000.
We struggled in the early years, had some golden years when we paid a dividend, but its back to survival time!
All our staff are paid.
