Collyweston Community Shop
Collyweston Community Shop opened its doors on 1st July 2010 selling locally sourced products including bread, eggs, milk, pork products, apple juice, ice cream, pies, honey, cordials, beer etc.
Over recent years the village has lost its Primary School, Butcher's Shop, Garage with associated forecourt services and in the last round of closures the Post Office. The Community Shop has helped to restore a 'social hub' to the village offering residents the opportunity to increase social interaction.
The introduction of locally sourced products will help reduce food miles and reduce the carbon footprint of residents. It will also help to promote local business and boost the local economy by encouraging tourists to the area.
Residents are able to meet and catch up on local news, services, events etc.
