Hello, We have just introduced a loyalty card scheme (initially just for our volunteers. Our EPOS system PROEPOS (which is the same as yours as you kindly let us come and see your system) lets us set up customers and then print off a barcode for them which I then stick onto a card which is laminated and used as the loyalty card. This is scanned when the customer makes a purchase. We set up 5p in the pound for our volunteers as an incentive to them. Unfortunately, the system does not have a neat way of allowing them to redeem their credit at present, but Imagesoft are in the process of making an enhancement which will ask when someone makes a purchase if they wish to redeem their points/credits.
Please contact me if you want to see what we have done, we are only a few miles up the road from you.
We have introduced a scheme whereby cards with 20 spaces are given out. Every complete £5 spent earns an ink-pad stamp e.g. £6.20 earns one stamp, £11.20 earns two etc. A completed card is worth £5 discount off the next shop of over that amount. Cards have been printed to be a size suitable to fit in a purse or wallet. Tobacco sales are excluded.
It does seem that customers will buy a little more to qualify for stamps and thus that the scheme has increased turnover a little.
